Wedding Bells Are(n't) Ringing

There’s something to be said for a beautiful wedding. The fanfare, the bridesmaids, the cake … but I already did that once and didn’t want to do it again. Besides, all my money got sucked up by the house, and there simply wasn’t much left for a wedding. We knew we wanted to get married, had, in fact, been engaged for more than two years, when all of a sudden he set the date.

On Sunday, February 21st (Art’s birthday by the way), we had a private, quiet ceremony in our home joined by our parents. We didn’t tell very many people, indeed mostly work because I had to and my parents to make sure they would be there, because we wanted it to be an intimate thing. Although it was small, it wouldn’t have mattered. The only person I could see was Art. I hope no one is upset. We will be planning a reception for this spring (or so) and we can celebrate together then.

In the meantime, I have a lot of paperwork to do! I don’t know why the man can’t change his name. Then again, Art Aragon-Devlin Renshaw is a bit much, don’t you think?
